Richter-Veresov Attack: Two Knights System, Grünfeld Defense is a chess opening with the ECO code D01, part of the Richter-Veresov Attack family. It goes 1. d4 Nf6 2. Nc3 d5 3. Bg5 Nbd7 4. Nf3 g6. White opens with 1. d4 (the queen's pawn) and Black answers 1... Nf6. After 8 moves it is White to move.
