Blackmar-Diemer Gambit Accepted: Pietrowsky Defense is a chess opening with the ECO code D00, part of the Blackmar-Diemer Gambit Accepted family. It goes 1. d4 d5 2. e4 dxe4 3. Nc3 Nf6 4. f3 exf3 5. Nxf3 Nc6. White opens with 1. d4 (the queen's pawn) and Black answers 1... d5. After 10 moves it is White to move. After the last move Black is a pawn ahead in material. About the Blackmar-Diemer Gambit Accepted
White gives a pawn with 1.d4 d5 2.e4 dxe4 3.Nc3 Nf6 4.f3, and Black takes with ...exf3. White gets fast development and an open f-file for attack.
White recaptures with Nxf3 and plays Bd3, O-O and Qe1-h4 to attack.
The rook on f1 hits f7 down the open f-file.
Black is a pawn up; calm development with ...e6 or ...g6 usually holds.
