Lessons in Your first repertoire

  1. With White: e4 and the Italian – One opening for White that follows every rule you know: centre, knights, bishops, castle.
  2. With Black: e5 and d5 – Two classical answers: e5 against e4, and d5 with e6 against d4. Both take your share of the centre at once.
