The blunder check

A one-minute habit for every move. Before you play, ask two questions: is anything hanging, and what does my move allow? This simple check saves more games than any opening trick. This is a basics course with 2 lessons and 5 interactive exercises, suited to players rated around 720 (beginners). Every exercise is played on a real board with feedback after each move, there is nothing to install, and it is free.

Lessons in The blunder check

  1. Is anything hanging? – A hanging piece is attacked and not protected. Find them on both sides before every move.
  2. What does my move allow? – Every move changes the board. Before you play it, look at the new board with your opponent's eyes.
